What Is NSF Certification?

The term NSF stands for the National Sanitation Foundation and is international hygiene safety institution in the U.S.

NSF is an authoritative institution recognized by the WHO and officially approved as testing institution for the drinking water and water purifiers by the ASNI

(American National Standards Institution)

NSF is an independent, non-profit institution that evaluates the suitability of the product by making strict standards in various fields for the environment, such as water, food, air.

NSF Certification For Food Safety

The NSF certification is the most prestigious certification and the mark of the certification is issued by NSF.

What Is The Procedure Of Getting NSF Certification?

The certification can be acquired only after passing the strict inspection and evaluation process.

There are 4 stages for the processes, which are, first, test for material, second, test for structure(design evaluation), third, evaluation for manufacturing process, and fourth, evaluation for label.

Particularly, test for material is a test for checking harm, verifying if the material of a juicer is harmful to the human body or if it's safe as a material for electric juicer.

Based on the data of foods, medicine, cosmetics, metals, etc. from FDA and in accordance with the 21 CFR standard of the U.S, NSF conducts a very strict inspection and evaluation to decide if the product meets the standards for getting the certification.
